Datacap NETePay and The General Store

Recommendation: Replace PCCharge today

As many of you are already aware, we have selected Datacap NETePay to replace Verifone’s now defunct and unsupported PCCharge software as our “processor-agnostic” middle-ware solution for merchants wishing to process payments in The General Store via their own processor (First Data, Vital, Elavon, Heartland etc.).

Many processors are still in the EMV certification process with Datacap, but they can still process credit, debit and EBT through NETePay. EMV functionality will just not be turned on to start. So if you are still using PCCharge, we strongly recommend contacting your General Store account manager today to get more information on making the move to NETePay. This way, you can put yourself in a position where you are processing payments on a supported platform, with the proper hardware (currently the Verifone VX805). When your processor’s EMV certification with Datacap is complete,  all we will have to do is essentially flip the EMV switch on for you.
